Inside the Glint Walking Tour of Chattanooga
Chattanooga is situated at the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. It boasts quite a bit of opportunities for visitors to get out and explore the fantastic terrain! Walk gorgeous trails, explore caves, or go for a climb. However you want to experience the outdoors, Chattanooga is waiting for you.
The city was an integral part of the Civil War and is rich in history. It’s hard to imagine it’s possible to fuse these two concepts together for a cultural experience, but that’s exactly what you get throughout the book Glint. Written by JD Harper, the book and its story has been transformed into one of Chattanooga’s most exciting walking tours.
About Glint
Dan Harman is a 16-year-old rock-climbing fanatic. Everything about his life is ordinary until one day he discovers something precious in his attic. Tucked away is an object that gives Dan the ability to travel time. Recognizing the value this object provides him, he and his friends Jesse and Ritchie team up to find a way to use it to make money. Their goal? Uncover buried treasure. However, Dan and his friends find out that it’s not that easy. Trips back in time to the Civil War era provide insight and truth behind the treasure they seek. The group of friends discover they might end up taking a selfless approach to finish their adventure. The entire story is rife with history, mystery, and romance. Glint is the ultimate tale of friendship and adventure.
About Glint Author JD Harper
A child of the ’70s, JD grew up reading and has fond memories of free books from her school full of history, adventure, and romance. Choosing her journey was part of the fun and is one of the motivators for her today. Since she was young, JD always dreamed of penning a story of her own. The idea for Glint has been with her since middle school. After re-stocking some shelves with books, the concept came to her. She held onto this theory for quite some time and nurtured it as the storyline evolved over time. Her idea was to write about Chattanooga for Chattanooga residents with the hopes of entertaining them with what she hoped to be a cultural experience.
Glint Chattanooga Walking Tour
We’re glad she did because her book has become successful in sharing Chattanooga’s rich history. Since its publication, the Glint Walking tour was established as an extension of the story.
