This special Elvis tour will drive by or stop at all the places that were important in Elvis’ life, including Lauderdale Courts, Humes High School, Hotel Chisca, the Thunderbird Lounge, Pop Tunes, Memphian Theater, Mid-South Coliseum, Libertyland, the Overton Park Band Shell, Forest Hill Cemetery and many more.
Memphis Mojo Tour + Sun Studio: A lively 80 min city tour aboard the nation’s only music bus. All of the guides on this tour are professional Beale Street musicians who play and sing selections from the city’s rich musical heritage, while entertaining you with comedy, history, and behind-the-scenes stories of your favorite Memphis personalities, plus a guided tour of Sun Studio, the studio that launched the careers of Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, BB King, Howlin’ Wolf, Roy Orbison…the list goes on and on! Get your photo taken at the microphone where Elvis recorded or next to Jerry Lee’s piano!
Admission to the Rock n Soul Museum, which is an exhibition about the birth of rock and soul music, created by the Smithsonian Institution, and tells the story of musical pioneers who, for the love of music, overcame racial and socio-economic barriers to create the music that shook the entire world. The museum offers a comprehensive Memphis music experience from the rural field hollers and sharecroppers of the 1930’s, through the explosion of Sun, Stax and Hi Records and Memphis’ musical heyday in the 70’s, to its global musical influence.

Optional Add-Ons

Day Tour to Elvis’ Birthplace in Tupelo - $145 per person min 2 (adult or child). You will be picked up at your hotel at 7:30 AM and driven an hour and a half to the town where Elvis Presley was born. The first destination in Tupelo is the Elvis Presley Birthplace Park. You will tour the actual home, the renovated museum, the chapel, and the landscape grounds. Then you visit the other places which were part of Elvis’ life in Tupelo. Ten of those places are marked with an historic plaque. These places include Lawhon Elementary School, Johnnie’s Drive- In, Tupelo Hardware, and Milam Junior High. Other places on your tour included the former locations of the Shakerag neighborhood, Mayhorn’s grocery, site of WELO radio broadcasting, the Assembly of God Church and the Fairground you will eat lunch (included in the price) at Johnnie’s Drive-In and step inside Lawhon Elementary (with permission of the school officials). You will go inside Tupelo Hardware which is owned and managed by the same family who founded the store. Return to Memphis and your hotel by 2:00 pm.

Terms & Conditions: Transportation to the attractions & hotels is not included. All prices are per person based on adults occupying the room in existing bedding. Rollaway beds are not included & may be at an extra charge if available. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover & American Express. Cancellations less than 30 days before arrival will incur penalties of $25.00 per person plus any supplier fees. Changes made after documents have been issued incur a $25.00 document reissue fee. No refunds for unused portions of the package. Transportation to the attractions & hotels is not included. Sun Studio operates a free, first-come, first-served, space available shuttle hourly from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm between Graceland, Sun Studio, & Rock n Soul Museum.
